Homework is important for students to review and practice what they have learned in school. It is essential to take homework seriously and to complete all assignments. Homework allows parents to have the opportunity to see what their children are learning. One of our goals for homework is to create lifelong learners who are responsible and enjoy learning.
Our goal is to help students develop a love of reading. Students should read at least 20 minutes each night.
In addition to their reading, students will have other homework assignments in other curricular areas. This homework will support and extend your child’s learning.
We suggest parents provide a quiet area to complete homework at a consistent time. Parents are not expected to help their child with homework, but may provide support as needed. If a student is not able to complete a problem independently, he/she should try their best and move on to the next problem.
Homework assignments are written in the Assignment Notebook each night.
